CAR PARKING IN SCARBOROUGH

Car Parking
Scarborough has 26 car parks, 19 of which are Pay and Display all year round and 7 that are Pay and Display during the summer season. Annual permits are available for Albion Road, Friarsway, Westwood and William Street car parks.  A full annual permit that allows the holder to park in all long stay car parks in the Borough can also be purchased.  To apply for a parking permit write to Parking Services at the Town Hall, Scarborough enclosing a cheque for the correct amount made payable to Scarborough Borough Council.

Off Street Car Parks - Advance Tickets
Car parking tickets for 2 - 7 days are available in advance or when you arrive from the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. For advance sales contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01723 232323.

Park and Ride
A daily, continuous Park & Ride service operates throughout the year from the A64, Seamer Road and the A165, Filey Road into Scarborough town centre.  The hours of operation of the service are 7.00am until 7.00pm, seven days a week, with the buses running approximately every twelve minutes.

Coach Parking
Scarborough is well served by coach parks in the Town Centre, North Bay and South Bay. The William Street Car and Coach Park is within easy walking distance of the Town Centre, the unique Market Hall and both bays. The Scalby Mills Car and Coach Park is adjacent to the town's Sea Life Centre and is an ideal location for persons wishing to walk along the Cleveland Way.

The Burniston Road Car and Coach Park is adjacent to the A165 just north of Peasholm and is also an ideal location for all the attractions in the North Bay Leisure Parks which are signed on all major routes. Scarborough has two drop-off/pick up points.  The coach bay at Aquarium Top is located just off the sea front and does not require a permit for use.  The coach bay in Sandside is located near the Tourist Information Centre on the sea front. 

CAR PARKING IN FILEY

Car Parking
Filey has 3 seasonal Off-street car parks, Country Car Park, Station Avenue Car Park and West Avenue Car Park and 2 seasonal on-street car parks, Church Ravine and Coble Landing.  Parking charges apply from 9.00am until 6.00pm on all car parks during the summer season.

Coach Parking
The West Avenue Car and Coach Park is at the southern end of the town near to the attractions in Glen Gardens.
The Country Park Car and Coach Park offers magnificent views over Filey Bay and is the starting point for the Cleveland Way and Wolds Way Long Distance Footpaths.

Both coach parks have public conveniences in close proximity and are well located for both beach and town centre. Coach parking tickets purchased at the machines can be used on all the Council Coach Parks throughout the Borough. Coach Parking charges apply from 9.00am until 6.00pm on all coach parks during the summer season. Advance tickets are available for 2 - 7 days from Tourist Information Centre, The Evron Centre, Filey, North Yorkshire.
